ATTENTION: THE SCHOOL BUDGET BOOSTER INITIATIVE HAS ENDED
Efficiency Maine congratulates all the Maine schools that made this one of the most successful energy-efficiency programs ever… and reminds all the rest that our regular incentives are still available!
 The School Budget Booster Initiative, a limited-time program offering extra incentives for energy-efficiency retrofits to Maine school buildings, has met its budget targets as of May 30—one month earlier than our previous forecast. The popularity of the Initiative has resulted in over 105 school applications in just 13 weeks.
- Applications that were received on or before Friday, May 30, 2008 will be considered for Initiative funding;
- Applications received after May 30, 2008 will be considered for standard incentives, with the following exception: Applications received before 5:00 pm Friday, June 6, 2008 that are accompanied with purchase orders and signed by the customer, will also be eligible for the doubled incentives.
We encourage schools to apply for regular incentives, which do not have a deadline. Most projects that are cost-effective under the doubled incentives will also have attractive paybacks with the standard incentives. Our staff will be happy to personally assist you with the benefit/cost analysis of projects currently under consideration.
